The most challenging of all the Black History Scholar competitions, the Quiz Championship is for team players - ideal for schools and youth groups who wish to rise to the challenge of general knowledge quizzes about Black heritage and history.
The Quiz Championship will be held on Saturday 15th March 2008 on the Mayor of London's annual Black History Scholar Day (further information to follow).
First prize is the title of Black History Scholar 2008 (Quiz Champions) and an educational scholarship fund of up to £2,000 to be shared by members of the winning team.
Schools wishing to enter a team in the quiz championship must register their team by: Thursday 31st January 2008
QUIZ CHALLENGE ‘HOT TOPICS’
As part of this year’s championship, questions on the following topics will be included in all quiz heats, semi finals and finals:
- New Nation Newspaper’s ‘Power List’
- Ancient African kingdoms, rulers and civilisations
- African abolitionists, resistance and rebellion against the transatlantic slave trade.

Quiz Prizes

- This is a team competition. Schools can register a maximum of TWO quiz teams using the Quiz Championship Registration Form.
